OS Performance Nutrition
Natural Ingredients List

Maltodextrin - is a short chained starch sugar that is a made from corn. Maltodextrin is easily digestible, being absorbed as rapidly as glucose, and is moderately sweet to no flavor at all. It is a complex carbohydrate that is the primary energy source in OS Sprint and OS Endurance, our during event nutrition products.

Maltodextrin is a clean and efficient source of energy and quickly converts to glucose in the blood stream.

Whey Protein - is a mixture of proteins and amino acids isolated from whey, the liquid created as a by-product of cheese production. It is a clean and pure source of needed protein and numerous long-chain amino acids that help in rebuilding muscle tissue. Whey protein is a key ingredient in OS Pre-Load and OS Re-load, our pre-event and post event products.

Protein is not recommended for during event nutrition due to the less efficient conversion of protein into glucose in the blood stream and the nitrogen by-products created when the body processes the amino acids. These nitrogen by-products collect in the kidneys and do not help muscular performance.

Fructose - is a simple monosaccharide found in many foods such as honey, tree fruits, berries, melons, and some root vegetables. It is used as lightly sweeten OS Performance Nutrition Products for taste. Simple sugar converts to glucose similar to maltodextrin, however your body can not quickly absorb high concentrations of simple sugar.

Flavor - we use a proprietary mix of all natural flavors for each OS Performance Nutrition Product. No synthetic sweeteners or flavors are ever used in OS products.

Color - we use all natural colors for all of our OS Performance Nutrition products. No synthetics colors such as FD&C colors are ever used in OS Products. Synthetic ingredients offer no performance or health benefit and pose a health risk over time.

Sodium Chloride - salt is used as an electrolyte ingredient in OS Endurance to help replenish the salt lost while sweating. Natration is important to maintain the proper balance for your bodies cooling system. This ingredient is added in precise proportion as more electrolytes is not better for you. More electrolytes than needed will dramatically slow the absorption rate of key calories.

Ascorbic Acid - vitamin C is an important natural ingredient to add for during event nutrition as vitamin C can not be stored and is easily depleted in your body during long endurance events. It is a good idea to supplement with a small amount of vitamin C.
